WEST PALM BEACH- In Maxpreps new ratings that released on Thursday, the King’s Academy varsity girls basketball team checked in as the #2 team in the state in 3A.  They continued to show why on Thursday night as they cruised past #14 Somerset College Prep 69-51 at the Loveland Athletic Center.  Five Lions scored in double figures in the victory for TKA.

After a relatively close start to the game, the Lions balanced offensive attack took over the game.  Junior Jade Jones poured in 19 points to lead the charge for TKA. Sophia Kateris (12 points), Julia Vazquez (12 points), Madelyn Buccilli (10 points), and Sofia Rathbun (10 points), making it impossible for the Spartans to contain the Lions.  Brielle George added six more points and a handful of rebounds to aid the cause.

With the victory, TKA improved to 5-1 on the season. Their next game will be a huge home matchup on Tuesday as they host #3 Somerset Prep at the LAC.
