Lions Roar Past SCPA

WEST PALM BEACH- The King’s Academy opened district tournament play in dominant fashion on Friday night, cruising past Somerset College Prep 9-1.  Michael Ahearn posted a hat trick and Oscar Hackney added two goals as the Lions advanced to the semi-final round.

The Lions scored early and often, racing out to a 6-1 halftime lead over the Spartans.  Hackney got TKA on the board first and the Lions never looked back.  They ended the game early when Elijah da Silva gave the Lions an eight goal lead, the threshold to initate the FHSAA mercy rule.

King’s advances to the next round to take on second-seeded Oxbridge Academy on Tuesday.  The game will be played at OA at 7:00 pm.
