Boys Lax Advances to Semifinals

WEST PALM BEACH- After injuries and youth led to a four game losing streak and a 3-6 record, things looked grim for the TKA boys lacrosse team. The Lions maintained belief in themselves, however, and won a 7-5 thriller over Wellington. King’s has now won five of six games including a 16-0 rout of Suncoast on Tuesday in the FHSAA district quarterfinals.
The Lions scored early and often against the Chargers, rolling to a double digit lead at the half. Leading the offense, as has been the case all season, were the dynamic duo of brothers Rhys and and Lach Dumais. The two have powered the Lions’ offensive attack throughout the strong winning stretch over the last month.
Defensively, goalie Cameron Burton picked up his second shutout of the season. Over the last three games, the junior keeper has allowed just five goals.
