WEST PALM BEACH- The King’s Academy continued their dominant playoff run on Tuesday night, downing Cardinal Mooney 3-0 to claim the program’s first regional title and state finals berth since 2020.  The Lions have swept five straight matches in straight games en route to district and regional titles.

TKA took control of the match early, roaring past the Cougars 25-12 in the opening set.  The Lions dominated at the net with Miranda Knoll (14 kills), Anabelle Bencosme (12 kills), and Mikayla Matuszko (12 kills) all racking up double figures in kills. Knoll was a force in service as well, rocketing six aces past the CMHS defense. Setter Jordan Molnar kept the offense in rhythm throughout the match, piling up 35 assists. In the end, the Lions overwhelmed the Cougars with talent, depth, and relentless play to capture the regional championship.

The Lions will now play in the 3A Final Four beginning on Tuesday, November 3 at Polk County State College.  More information on TKA’s opponent and game time is expected to be released by the FHSAA by Thursday.
