TKA Beats District Rival Oxbridge

WEST PALM BEACH- The King’s Academy picked up a key win over district rival Oxbridge on Tuesday night, defeating the Thunderwolves 5-3 at Kahlert Stadium. Oxbridge came into the game as the second-ranked team in the district, narrowly behind leader Benjamin who they tied earlier this season. The Lions win puts them squarely in the discussion as a threat in the district tournament later this month.
TKA raced out to an early 2-0 lead with goals from Flavio Guazzotti and Nicholas Ahearn in the opening half. Oxbridge closed the gap to 2-1 at the break and briefly took a 3-2 lead midway through the second half. It was all Lions from that point forward, however, as TKA got goals from N. Ahearn, Oscar Hackney, and Michael Ahearn to stun the Thunderwolves.
With the victory, the Lions move to 7-3-1 on the season. They will play at 12-1-1 Royal Palm Beach on Thursday.
