WEST PALM BEACH- The King’s Academy volleyball team has championship dreams this season.  They showed those dreams may be within reach on Tuesday night as they defeated defending 1A state champion Boca Christian in an epic five-game thriller.

After a dominating first game, the Lions lost their rhythm in games two and three and trailed 2-1.  Demonstrating grit and confidence, the Lions battled back to capture a close game four behind the big hitting of Miranda Knoll (23 kills), Mikayla Matuszco (15 kills), and Annabelle Bensacome (12 kills). With the home crowd behind them, the Lions fought their way to a narrow 15-13 final game to capture the win.

An unsung hero in the match was setter Jordan Molnar.  The Texas Tech commit racked up and incredible 53 assists with just one ballhandling error.  Libero Luci Montes added 16 digs, including two in the final game that helped propel Lions rallies.

TKA is now 2-0 on the season and will host Legacy High School on Thursday evening.
